Ultra-efficient metered water softener

Greater softening capacity for busy family homes

The Tapworks NSC11PRO combines intelligent demand-led operation with a compact 302 mm-wide cabinet. Tapworks recommends it for households of one to seven people, subject to local hardness, flow rate and daily water demand.

Compact family-home performance

More capacity without an oversized footprint

The NSC11PRO removes the calcium and magnesium responsible for hard water, helping protect boilers, pipework and appliances while reducing scale on taps, showers and bathroom surfaces.

  • Official recommendation for one to seven people
  • 2,068-litre softened-water capacity at 300 ppm
  • 302 mm wide with a 527 mm cabinet depth
  • Suitable for direct and indirect plumbing systems

Demand metered

Regenerates according to calculated water usage.

EasyFit kit included

Bypass, 22 mm hoses and installation components supplied.

34 kg salt capacity

A larger cabinet reduces the need for frequent refilling.

Backlit electronic controls on the Tapworks NSC11PRO

Intelligent electronic control

Set the time and hardness, then let it work

The backlit controller tracks water use and remaining softening capacity. It schedules regeneration according to demand rather than relying on a basic fixed-day timer.

  • Displays time, hardness and remaining capacity
  • Tracks average water consumption
  • Retains programming during a power interruption
  • Includes electronic self-diagnostic functions

EasyFit installation package

The essential connection components are supplied

The all-in-one bypass incorporates a check valve and connects to the supplied 500 mm hoses, reducing the number of separate components your installer needs to source.

  • All-in-one bypass with check valve
  • Two 500 mm hoses with 22 mm push-fit connections
  • Drain and overflow tubing with clips
  • Transformer and hard-water test kit

Salt and routine care

Automatic operation with a useful salt reminder

The 34 kg salt cabinet provides more storage than the NSC09PRO. The electronic salt monitor helps indicate when it is time to refill, while the wide opening makes topping up straightforward.

Use tablet or pellet salt only. Tapworks specifically advises against granular and block salt.

Which NSC PRO model should you choose?

The NSC11PRO sits between the compact NSC09PRO and larger NSC14PRO. Occupant figures are a guide only: hardness, peak demand and flow rate can change the appropriate model.

NSC09PRO

1–5 people

The smallest cabinet for tighter installations and lower household demand.

NSC11PRO

Tapworks bases its recommendation on 140 litres per person per day at 300 ppm. Ask us to check the model if your home has high hardness or several bathrooms in simultaneous use.

Helpful answers

Frequently asked questions

Is the NSC11PRO suitable for a combi boiler?

Yes. The official handbook confirms that the softener and 22 mm installation kit are compatible with combination and unvented systems. Correct sizing still depends on hardness, demand and flow.

Does it require electricity?

Yes. The softener operates through the supplied 24 V transformer connected to an indoor 240 V electrical outlet.

Can water still be used during regeneration?

Yes, but household water bypasses the softener during recharge and will therefore be hard. Tapworks normally schedules regeneration for 2:00am to minimise disruption.

Which salt should I use?

Use tablet or pellet salt only. Do not use granular or block salt.

How do I receive the two-year warranty?

The standard parts-and-labour warranty is 12 months. Register with Tapworks within three months of installation to receive the free extension to two years, subject to their terms.
