Is the NSC14PRO suitable for a large family?
Yes. Tapworks recommends this model for households of up to nine people.
Does it regenerate every night?
No. It is a metered softener that regenerates according to actual water use. When regeneration is required, the default start time is 2:00am.
Can it be used with a combi boiler?
Yes. Tapworks states that the softener and supplied 22mm installation kit are compatible with combination and unvented boiler systems when correctly installed.
What type of salt does it use?
Use tablet or pellet water-softener salt only. Granular salt and block salt must not be used.
Does the installation kit include hoses?
Yes. Two 500mm inlet and outlet hoses with 22mm push-fit connections are included.
Does it require electricity?
Yes. The softener operates from a 24V transformer connected to an indoor 240V electrical outlet.
Can a normal plumber install it?
A suitably qualified plumber can install the unit, provided the work complies with applicable plumbing, water and electrical requirements.
