Start with the water problem

Choose the Right Type of Kinetico System

A water softener and a reverse osmosis system do different jobs. Choose whole-home softening for hard-water minerals and limescale; choose reverse osmosis for filtered drinking water at a dedicated kitchen tap.

Kinetico Frequently Asked Questions

Are all Kinetico water softeners non-electric?

No. The Supersoft HE, Supersoft HF, Sumo 1, Sumo 2 and Supersoft Pro are non-electric systems. The nuWave 800 is the electric alternative in this collection.

What is the difference between the Supersoft HE and HF?

The HE is intended for vented and gravity-fed plumbing systems. The HF has the higher listed service flow and is intended for pressurised systems, including combi boilers and unvented hot-water arrangements.

Why choose a twin-tank water softener?

A twin-tank design can keep supplying softened water while one resin tank regenerates. This avoids the interruption normally associated with a single-tank system during regeneration.

Will a Kinetico water softener filter my drinking water?

A softener removes hardness minerals through ion exchange; it is not a substitute for a drinking-water filter. Choose a reverse osmosis or other dedicated filtration system if drinking-water treatment is your priority.

Should I choose Kinetico reverse osmosis or a water softener?

Choose a water softener to reduce hardness and limescale throughout the home. Choose reverse osmosis to purify drinking and cooking water at a dedicated tap. Some households use both systems because they perform different jobs.

Do I need an installer for a Kinetico water softener?

Professional installation is recommended. The installer must account for the incoming main, bypass, drain, overflow, pressure, connections and access for future salt filling and servicing.
