Kinetico water softeners
Choose from compact non-electric twin-tank systems, higher-capacity single-tank softeners and the electric nuWave 800. The right model depends on your plumbing arrangement, peak water demand, hardness, installation space and preferred control type.
Start with the installation
Do not select a softener from household size alone. Boiler type, plumbing pressure, simultaneous flow, water hardness and available space can change which model is suitable.
Vented and gravity-fed systems
A compact, non-electric twin-tank softener designed for homes with vented or gravity-fed plumbing.
Pressurised and higher-flow systems
The higher-flow Supersoft option for pressurised plumbing, combi boilers and unvented hot-water systems.
Compact single-tank option
A compact, water-powered softener with demand-led regeneration and no plug or electronic timer.
Greater hardness and demand
The larger Sumo model for higher hardness, greater capacity and busier household water use.
Compact electric control
An electric, demand-controlled cabinet softener for customers who prefer programmable electronic operation.
Highest household flow
A high-flow, non-electric twin-tank softener with a separate brine tank and larger salt-storage capacity.
The most commonly confused models
The cabinets are the same size, but the intended plumbing systems and flow performance are different. Check this before ordering.
Four checks before buying
Identify whether the home uses gravity-fed, vented, combi-boiler, unvented or another pressurised arrangement. This is critical when choosing between Supersoft HE and HF.
Measure incoming flow and confirm local hardness. Larger homes and harder water may require greater flow or softening capacity than household size suggests.
Allow room for the cabinet, plumbing, bypass, drain, overflow and future salt filling. Product dimensions alone do not represent the complete installation space.
Select water-powered non-electric operation or programmable electric control. Also check whether the chosen model accepts block salt, tablet salt or both.

There is no single best model for every home. Supersoft HE suits vented and gravity-fed systems; Supersoft HF suits pressurised and higher-flow systems; Sumo models offer non-electric single-tank options; nuWave 800 provides electric control; and Supersoft Pro targets the highest household flow demand.
The HE is designed for vented and gravity-fed systems and has a listed 25 L/min service flow. The HF is designed for pressurised, combi-boiler and unvented systems and has a listed 33 L/min service flow.
Many are. Supersoft HE, Supersoft HF, Sumo 1, Sumo 2 and Supersoft Pro operate without electricity. The nuWave 800 is the electric, demand-controlled option in this collection.
A twin-tank softener can continue supplying softened water while one resin tank regenerates. This avoids the interruption normally associated with a single-tank system during regeneration.
Several models accept block salt as well as suitable good-quality tablet salt, but the exact requirement varies. Check the individual product page and manual before purchasing salt.
Professional installation is recommended. The installer must account for the incoming main, bypass, non-return protection, drain, overflow, pressure, connections and access for future salt filling and servicing.
Regal Flow does not provide an in-house installation service. We can help you understand the product requirements and may be able to introduce an independent installer, depending on location and availability.
