Quick Twist-and-Lock Filter Replacement
The tankless design keeps maintenance straightforward. Filters are removed with a twist and replaced from the front of the unit, avoiding the more involved servicing associated with traditional multi-housing RO systems.
800 GPD Output with a 2:1 Pure-to-Drain Ratio
The X8 is rated at 800 gallons per day and approximately 0.56 gallons per minute. Its 2:1 pure-to-drain ratio means two cups of purified water are produced for every one cup sent to drain under rated conditions.
Tankless Filtration for a Cleaner Under-Sink Installation
By removing the conventional pressure tank, the X8 frees up under-sink space and provides purified water on demand rather than storing it for later use.
Waterdrop states that the tankless layout can save up to 70% of under-sink space compared with traditional tank-based RO systems.
Plan the Plumbing and Power Before You Order
The X8 requires a cold-water connection, drain connection and electrical supply. A countertop hole is also required for the smart faucet unless a suitable existing opening is available.

Waterdrop advises against using well water as the source and does not recommend connecting a tankless RO system directly to a refrigerator, ice maker or salt-based water softener without checking compatibility.
