To get the most out of your water filtration system, we highly recommend using the authentic Waterdrop smart faucet. While it's possible to use a standard three-way (tri-flow) tap, our smart faucet is specifically designed to ensure full compatibility and deliver a seamless experience. It's the simplest way to maximize your system's performance and enjoy all its features, including real-time filter life indicators. Using other brands may not be fully compatible, potentially affecting performance and functionality.
Replacing your filter has never been easier. With a tankless system, you can say goodbye to complicated maintenance. Simply give the old filter a twist counter-clockwise to remove it, and then insert the new replacement, rotating it clockwise until it locks securely into place. The entire process is designed to be quick and intuitive, saving you time and frustration.

The Waterdrop X8 reverse osmosis water filter system, is an enhanced version of traditional systems, and yields an impressive 800 gallons of filtered water daily. Featuring an impressively low drain ratio, this system produces a mere one cup of waste water for every two cups of pure water it delivers
The tankless design effectively prevents secondary bacterial contamination and frees up 70% of the under-sink space. Additionally, it provides continuous access to filtered without the need for a bulky storage tank.
Refer to the attached diagram and note that you will need to drill a hole in your countertop to place the smart faucet if one is not already available. Also, an adapter will be installed on your household water tubing to connect the RO system’s wastewater and input water tubing.
Electricity is required to run the RO system.
We advise against using well water as the source for our RO systems. Additionally, we do not recommend connecting a tankless RO system to a refrigerator, ice maker, or salt-based water softener.
It is strongly advised to install this RO system with components from Waterdrop. Installing with parts not provided by Waterdrop could lead to malfunctions or reduce the system’s and filters' lifespan.
