Why choose the X-6 over smaller units?
The X-6 is designed as a "whole-vessel" or "point-of-entry" system. Instead of having separate filters for your galley, wet bar, and ice maker, one X-6 unit provides enough flow and capacity to supply all of them simultaneously with purified water.
What is the maintenance requirement?
The RS-6SG module typically requires replacement after 6,000 gallons (approx. 23,000 litres). Thanks to the quick-change module design and the vee-clamp closure, maintenance is fast and requires no special tools.
Is this suitable for coffee shops or bakeries?
Yes. The X-6 is excellent for small businesses that need chemical-free, great-tasting water for coffee machines or baking, especially where a higher flow rate is needed than a standard domestic filter can provide.
Does it remove salt from seawater?
No. Like all Seagull IV purifiers, the X-6 is designed for cold fresh water use only. It does not desalinate water.
