2nd Filter: Sediment + Coconut Shell CTO Carbon Block

The two-stage filter, incorporating NSF Certified Coconut Shell Carbon, stands out for its remarkable efficacy in reducing taste and odour, exceeding the performance of typical charcoal filters. Wrapped in a microporous cloth, the carbon block filter serves a twofold purpose: sifting sediment while safeguarding the carbon's intricate honeycomb pores from particles.

This ensures its filtration capacity is directed towards contaminants such as chlorine instead of being occupied by dirt. Through Nitrogen treatment, the carbon is activated, heightening the adsorption process to entice contaminants into the pores and firmly trap them there. The three-stage filter is formed by NSF Certified Coconut Shell Granule Activated Carbon (GAC). The two-stage Coconut Shell Granule Activated Carbon (GAC) serves as a media, not just for filtering prevalent water contaminants like chlorine, but also for eradicating bacteria while minimizing taste and odour. Silver-infused granules differ from regular GAC carbon in their ability to prevent bacteria growth; they not only inhibit but also eliminate bacteria.

This fine layer serves as a preventative measure against limescale accumulation in hard water, repelling molecules that contribute to scaling while encasing surfaces to deter further scaling downstream. Additionally, this film acts as a barrier against corrosion by intercepting molecules carrying oxygen, thereby disrupting the oxidation that initiates rust and eventual corrosion on surfaces.
