Compact Reverse Osmosis Filtration

Spectrum Z1 Under Sink Reverse Osmosis System

The Spectrum Z1 is a compact, powered under-sink reverse osmosis system designed for homes and light-commercial applications where cupboard space, straightforward servicing and reliable purified-water production matter.

2 L/minPurified water flow

Fast dispensing without relying on a conventional storage tank.

≥93%Salt rejection

Thin-film composite RO membrane for reduction of dissolved substances.

≥65%Recovery

Efficient water recovery under suitable operating conditions.

130 mmCabinet width

A slim footprint designed to preserve valuable under-sink space.

Compact Performance

High-Output RO Filtration in a Slim Cabinet

At only 130 mm wide, the Z1 combines a compact cabinet with an integrated booster pump and a rated product-water flow of 2 litres per minute. The system is designed for municipal water supplies and operates at a feed pressure of 1–4 bar.

  • Integrated booster pump supports consistent RO production
  • Push-fit connections simplify installation and servicing
  • Automatic flushing helps maintain membrane performance
  • Filter-life indicators show when cartridges require attention

Four-Stage Water Treatment

How the Spectrum Z1 Filters Your Drinking Water

The Z1 uses two replaceable cartridges to provide four treatment stages. The Z1-C combines three functions in one cartridge, while the Z1-M contains the reverse osmosis membrane.

01

Sediment Filtration

Captures particulate material such as dirt, sand and rust before it reaches the finer filtration stages.

02

Pre-Carbon

Reduces chlorine before the RO membrane, helping protect the chlorine-sensitive membrane.

03

Reverse Osmosis

The thin-film composite Z1-M membrane reduces dissolved substances and microscopic impurities.

04

Post-Carbon

Final activated-carbon treatment adsorbs residual tastes and odours before water reaches the tap.

Installation Planning

Designed for Straightforward Under-Sink Installation

The Z1 connects to the cold-water supply, a drain connection and a nearby electrical socket. A separate brushed stainless-steel drinking-water tap is supplied and requires a 12 mm mounting hole.

130 × 397 × 376 mmW × D × H
1–4 barFeed pressure
5–38°CFeed temperature
100–240 V ACElectrical input

Important: The system must be connected to cold water only. Where incoming pressure exceeds 4 bar, the manufacturer specifies that a pressure-reducing valve should be fitted.

Simple Maintenance

Twist-and-Lock Cartridges with Filter-Life Monitoring

The front-access cartridge arrangement is designed to make routine servicing straightforward. Indicator lights monitor the Z1-C and Z1-M filter life, while automatic rinse cycles operate at power-up, after extended production and after prolonged standby.

Z1-C3-in-1 cartridge

Typical service guide: 6–12 months

Z1-MRO membrane

Typical service guide: 12–24 months

Actual cartridge life varies with feed-water quality, usage and operating conditions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Spectrum Z1 FAQs

Does the Spectrum Z1 need a storage tank?

The manufacturer specifies a 2 L/min product-water flow and the system is supplied as a compact powered RO module rather than a conventional RO system with a separate storage tank.

Does the Spectrum Z1 require electricity?

Yes. The Z1 contains an integrated booster pump and requires a nearby electrical supply. The specified electrical input is 100–240 V AC, 50/60 Hz.

How often are the Spectrum Z1 filters replaced?

The manufacturer's service guide recommends approximately 6–12 months for the Z1-C cartridge and 12–24 months for the Z1-M RO membrane. Actual life depends on water quality and usage.

What water pressure does the Z1 require?

The specified operating range is 1–4 bar. The manufacturer states that a pressure-reducing valve should be used where supply pressure exceeds 4 bar.

What comes with the Spectrum Z1?

The system includes the RO module, Z1-C and Z1-M cartridges, power transformer, inlet valve, drain fittings, brushed stainless-steel drinking-water tap, connectors and installation tubing.
