What the UFCB cartridge does
0.01-micron ultrafiltration
The physical UF membrane filters bacteria, fine sediment and microscopic suspended impurities from treated municipal water.
Coconut-shell carbon
Highly adsorbent activated carbon reduces residual chlorine, odours and unwanted tastes after ultrafiltration.
Final water polishing
The combined treatment improves the finished water's clarity and provides a fresher taste at the drinking-water tap.
Final filtration stage
Fine physical filtration without reverse osmosis
The UFCB uses ultrafiltration rather than an RO membrane. It retains the water's dissolved minerals and does not require electricity, a storage tank or a wastewater connection when installed in the Hommix Ultra UF system.

Replacement guidance
Change the cartridge without specialist tools
Isolate the water
Close the system's water feed valve and open the filtered-water tap to release pressure.
Remove Filter 2
Support the cartridge and press the red release button on the corresponding filter head.
Fit the UFCB cartridge
Push the new cartridge upwards into the Filter 2 position until it locks securely into place.
Restore and flush
Turn the water supply back on, check carefully for leaks and flush for 10-15 minutes.
