What each replacement filter does
PPCB pre-filter
Combines sediment and activated-carbon treatment to help reduce rust, sand, suspended particles, chlorine and other impurities before the water reaches the RO membrane.
800 GPD RO membrane
The principal purification stage. Hommix states that it reduces up to 99% of dissolved contaminants, including heavy metals, fluoride and microplastics.
Post-carbon filter
Provides the final polishing stage, helping improve the taste, freshness and clarity of the purified water before it reaches the tap.
Choose the correct maintenance pack
This complete set is not normally required every year
The PPCB and post-carbon filters are normally changed annually. The RO membrane typically lasts longer, so this complete three-filter pack is generally used when the membrane is also due for replacement.

Quick-change cartridges designed for the hydRO Pro
The hydRO Pro allows its filters to be accessed and released without moving the entire system. Follow the system manual and on-screen filter indicators when changing the cartridges.
- Check which filter indicator is showing as due
- Isolate the system as directed in the user manual
- Release and replace each required cartridge
- Reset the relevant filter-life indicator
- Flush the new filters before drinking the water

No. This is the complete three-filter pack and includes the longer-life RO membrane. The PPCB and post-carbon filters are normally replaced annually, while the complete pack is typically used every 24–36 months when the membrane is also due.
How do I know when the filters need changing?
The hydRO Pro has individual filter-life indicators and provides a warning as a cartridge approaches the end of its monitored life. Actual lifespan varies with water use and incoming water quality.

Are specialist tools required?
