Select chilled or ambient water and choose a preset 1-litre or 1.5-litre serving. Continuous dispensing is available when a larger container needs filling, while the push controls let the user stop at the desired level.

Three replaceable filters perform four distinct treatment stages
Incoming mains water passes through sediment and carbon pre-treatment, a reverse osmosis membrane and a final post-carbon polishing stage before it reaches the internal storage tanks.
Sediment filtration
Captures larger particles such as rust, dirt and sand from the incoming water.
Carbon pre-treatment
Reduces chlorine, unwanted odours and selected volatile organic compounds.
RO membrane
Provides fine membrane separation for dissolved and microscopic contaminants.
Post-carbon polish
Final treatment helps improve the taste and clarity of the purified water.
Hommix states that the system removes more than 98% of impurities, including microplastics, Cryptosporidium, limescale and chlorine. Actual reduction depends on the contaminant, incoming water quality, flow and filter condition.

The ecoRO stores purified water across three dedicated tanks, helping it serve several users without relying on disposable bottles. Hommix recommends the system for environments with approximately 3 to 20 users.
Automatic replenishment: After water is dispensed, the plumbed-in system resumes purification and replenishes its internal supply. Recovery time will depend on use and incoming water conditions.
