What happens if I don’t replace the filter when the indicator light turns red?

Continuing to use an expired filter can significantly reduce the system’s ability to remove impurities. Overused filters lose their effectiveness, which can allow contaminants to seep back into your drinking water—potentially compromising both taste and safety. To maintain the highest water quality and protect your health, we strongly recommend replacing the filter as soon as the indicator light turns red.

Why is the filter life indicator still red after I replaced the filter?

If the light remains red, it means the system hasn’t been reset yet. To reset the filter life indicator, press and hold the RO filter life button for 7 seconds until you hear a beep and the blue light stays on. This confirms the reset and ensures the system accurately tracks the new filter’s lifespan.

Does the filter have a shelf life if it remains unopened?

No, the filter does not expire as long as it stays sealed in its original packaging and is stored in a cool, dry place. Proper storage ensures the filter maintains its full performance when you’re ready to install it.

Does this system reduce nitrates?

Yes. The reverse osmosis technology in this system effectively reduces a wide range of contaminants, including nitrates, TDS (Total Dissolved Solids), chromium, PFAS, fluoride, arsenic salts, iron, radium, calcium, chloride, and even heavy metals such as hexavalent chromium.
