Frizzlife PD1000-TAM4 · high-capacity tankless reverse osmosis

Fast under-sink RO performance with alkaline remineralisation

The Frizzlife PD1000-TAM4 combines a 1000 GPD reverse-osmosis membrane, compact tankless design and TAM4 remineralisation stage. It is built for households that want strong on-demand flow, efficient wastewater performance and a more balanced post-RO drinking-water taste.

Live TDS readings and clear filter-status indicators

The front control panel displays the system’s measured outlet TDS while water is being produced. Separate indicators show the remaining condition of the CP and RO filters, turning red when replacement is approaching or overdue.

  • TDS reading updates while the system is producing water
  • Colour-coded CP and RO filter-life indicators
  • Manual flush and filter-reset controls
  • Integrated internal waterway reduces external connection points

RO purification followed by a dedicated remineralisation stage

The PD1000-TAM4 uses a combined sediment and carbon pre-filter, a 1000 GPD RO membrane and a separate TAM4 post-filter. Frizzlife describes the full treatment route as nine-layer filtration.

1

ASR411 CP filter

Combined PP sediment and carbon pre-filtration protects the RO stage.

2

ASR412-1000G membrane

The main reverse-osmosis stage reduces TDS and dissolved contaminants.

3

TAM4 post-filter

Restores selected minerals and adjusts the taste and pH after RO treatment.

TAM4 post-treatment

Remineralised water after reverse osmosis

Reverse osmosis removes dissolved minerals along with unwanted substances. The TAM4 stage then passes the purified water through mineral media to restore selected minerals and rebalance drinking-water taste. Frizzlife states that it is designed to raise the final pH above 7.5, although the result will vary with the incoming water and contact time.

  • Post-filter positioned after the RO membrane
  • Designed to restore selected beneficial minerals
  • Helps soften the flat taste sometimes associated with plain RO water
  • May raise a handheld TDS reading by approximately 10–30 ppm after remineralisation
High-output tankless performance

Designed for larger households and heavier daily demand

The nominal 1000 GPD rating and tested flow of up to 0.7 GPM give the PD1000-TAM4 a clear position above Frizzlife’s lower-output PD-series systems.

01

On-demand production

The built-in pump produces filtered water as required without storing it in a conventional RO pressure tank.

02

Reduced wastewater

A 2:1 pure-to-drain ratio means two parts purified water are produced for approximately one part sent to drain.

03

Compact cabinet use

The slim main unit and separate TAM4 cartridge preserve more usable under-sink space than a traditional tank-based RO layout.

Plan the installation before ordering

Cold mains, drainage, power and a drinking-water faucet are required

The system connects to the cold-water supply, sink waste and a suitable electrical socket. Purified water passes through the TAM4 post-filter before reaching the dedicated drinking-water faucet.

01

Cold mains only

Use municipally treated cold water between 20 and 80 psi.

02

Electrical supply

The powered system uses 110–240 V AC and is rated at 135 W.

03

Drain connection

A drain saddle and 1/4-inch waste tube connect to the sink waste pipe.

04

Faucet opening

Use a compatible existing opening or measure the supplied faucet before drilling the worktop.

Optional system expansion

Connect a refrigerator or add a small reserve tank if required

Frizzlife shows the PD1000-TAM4 working with its optional IMC-1 refrigerator connection kit or MWT3 mini water tank. These accessories are not included with the standard system and should only be added where the installation and appliance requirements are compatible.

  • IMC-1 supports compatible refrigerator or ice-maker connections
  • MWT3 can provide a small local reserve for compatible installations
  • Both accessories are optional and sold separately
  • Confirm tubing, pressure and appliance compatibility before ordering

Match replacement filters by their exact model codes

The manual lists ASR411 for the first stage, ASR412-1000G for the RO stage and TAM4/FZ-4 for remineralisation. Service life varies with feed-water quality and usage, so use the display and the manual’s limits rather than relying on time alone.

Helpful answers

Frequently asked questions

Is the PD1000-TAM4 genuinely tankless?

Yes. The main system produces RO water on demand using its built-in pump and does not require a conventional pressurised storage tank. Frizzlife’s optional MWT3 mini tank is a separate accessory and is not included.

What does 1000 GPD mean in everyday use?

It is the manufacturer’s nominal daily membrane rating under test conditions, not a guaranteed household delivery volume. Frizzlife states a tested dispensing flow of up to 0.7 US gallons per minute, approximately 2.65 litres per minute. Actual output varies with pressure, temperature, feed-water quality and filter condition.

What does the TAM4 stage do?

The TAM4 is fitted after the RO membrane. It uses mineral media to restore selected minerals and adjust drinking-water taste and pH after reverse osmosis.

Why might a handheld TDS reading be higher than the display?

The machine measures RO water before the TAM4 post-filter. The TAM4 then adds minerals, so Frizzlife states that a handheld reading after remineralisation may be approximately 10–30 ppm higher.

How much wastewater does it produce?

Frizzlife specifies a 2:1 pure-to-drain ratio under its test conditions: approximately two cups of purified water for each cup sent to drain. Real-world performance varies with installation and incoming-water conditions.

How often are the filters replaced?

The manual recommends ASR411 at one year or 60 cumulative production hours, approximately 900–1,000 gallons. ASR412-1000G is listed at two years or 120 hours, approximately 1,800–2,000 gallons. TAM4 is listed at approximately 900–1,000 gallons. Actual life depends on feed-water quality and usage.

Can it supply a refrigerator or ice maker?

Yes, where the appliance and installation are compatible, using Frizzlife’s optional IMC-1 connection accessory. The IMC-1 is not included with the standard PD1000-TAM4 package.

Can it treat private-well or unsafe water?

The manual specifies municipally treated water and warns against microbiologically unsafe or unknown-quality water without adequate disinfection. A private supply needs proper testing and suitable pre-treatment before this system is considered.
